At the age of 11, I received a camera as a gift from my grandparents—an unexpected catalyst that ignited my lifelong passion for photography. From the outset, I found myself eagerly capturing moments, often enlisting unsuspecting friends and family members as subjects for impromptu photoshoots. Among my treasured collection lies a particularly memorable snapshot of my sister, seemingly suspended mid-air off softball bleachers, lending the illusion of a gravity-defying feat.
In the journey of self-discovery that accompanies adolescence, interests often ebb and flow, yet photography remained an enduring thread in the fabric of my identity. It became increasingly apparent that behind the lens, I discovered not only an art form but a profound means of expression—a sentiment that would shape my path forward.
With this unwavering passion as my compass, I embarked on the creation of "In Real Life Photography."
Greetings, everyone! I'm Isabelle, the creative force behind the lens. My journey into photography began at the age of 16, when I delved into the world of semi-professional photography, and by 17, I transitioned into professional work. Leaving behind the sun-kissed landscapes of California, I ventured to New York City to pursue my education and nurture my passion for creativity.
In the vibrant atmosphere of Manhattan, I honed my skills primarily in fashion photography, collaborating with esteemed clients such as Tillys, Jack Rogers, Molly Bracken, and more. Alongside this, I ventured into action photography, capturing the graceful movements of dance, as well as traditional portraiture.
Since then, I've traversed both the East and West coasts, expanding my repertoire to include a wide range of genres—from the intensity of sports photography to the heartfelt moments of graduations and family gatherings. While I pride myself on my versatility, my true calling lies in the realm of art photography.
As a philosophy major and a fervent admirer of the arts, my mind is continually fueled by a thirst for profound insights and ideas. It is my steadfast goal to create pieces that provoke thought, evoke emotion, and provide a sense of connection for viewers—a visual narrative worthy of becoming a centerpiece in your living space.
